i'm good brother.
Just sold my nifty made-in-1950 Kodak Medalist and purchased a made in 2006 Nikon D40 for my sister, so they will have a halfway decent camera to take pics of wee little Ronan...and as i was selling the Medalist anyway, and made a profit on it, i'm not sad...
but still have managed to sell another camera and GET NO TOY.
Dammit!
I need to reexamine this game:)

The rewards of a long crawl through the corn maize - Funnel Cake! Alex kept us safe, roaring at the ghost(and the telling him that it was okay, don't be scared), and looking for the dragon in the shifting corn. Much better maze this year, big, with tall corn and amazing staff- everyone working was helpful, friendly, and sweet to Alex - nothing beats a shuffling monster growling and grring go all 'ohh! how cute!' more pix here

i just feel like post boo bah pics today, 'sall. Feeling sad 'cause every time i drop him off at daycare, it feels like it's for a month or something. Trout being off to nashville this week, plus a ton of work for me, has little man confused a bit.

Okay, so the plan was to pick up these two classic kodaks from a guy, keep one, and sell the other.
But they're preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeety. Seriously amazing cameras, built to be world-beaters and really top of the line, before american companies stopped trying to build cameras.
I dunno if i can let one go.
(And i'm totally hoping dude doesn't call me back on the complete 4x5 setup for $100 bucks, because it would be hard to say no to that:)

so, when i'm in my darkroom, i try and remember that art isn't so much created, as discovered. It makes things more fun - cause, well, I'm not an artist - i don't really know what to call what I do, some sort of therapy-by-celluloid or somesuch. But sometimes I do get lucky, and find something that was waiting for someone to see it. Real artists have a better sense of where to look, a cosmic timing that reveals a bit more of the Other to them than most folks. Sometimes Artist are full of shit. It works both ways:)
But I was getting a bit...wo' out, I guess, and feeling that I was just collecting toys to fondle - and I do love cameras, independent of their results(well built machines that do what they were meant to do well are a joy to hold and use) - but all it takes is one 24x36mm reversed frame to make me feel that I should keep looking.

I really will say something soon, but job is good, having a job is great, and I should never try and start a new job and swap to a new personal computer at the same time. Too much chaos:)
